This is an exempt, professional staff position.Įmployees of Harford Community College, including instructors for online and virtual courses, must be residents of Maryland or the contiguous states of Delaware, Pennsylvania, Virginia, West Virginia or the District of Columbia non-residents are expected to relocate to meet this requirement.Ī bachelor’s degree and one to three years of experience in intercollegiate athletics, sports information, and game operations are required. Other duties include keeping computer stats at games writing game and event summaries for all sports managing music operations at contests cooperating with game officials and performing other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
The Manager is responsible for updating the College’s official Athletics web site establishing contact with local media maintaining up-to-date results, statistics, and records creating marketing media for promoting events writing feature stories and other content for online and print outlets providing game management staffing announcing contests serving as a liaison between the media and the College athletics community and reporting to the NJCAA and MD JUCO offices. The Manager for Athletic Communications promotes and supports the College’s Athletics Department through a variety of media efforts.
